Your amp will be plenty powerful for the VA's. If you like the way they sound better than the other speakers you have listened to then they are the speakers you should buy. Will the dealer let you take them home for a couple days to try out on your equipment? If not, would they be willing to let you bring your amp and preamp to the store to try on the VA's? If they are a good dealer they will let you one of these (preferably the in home trial) especially if they want to make a sell...
