Re: Living Voice speakers.. Auditorium model

There is a definite family resemblance in sound among all of the Living Voice Auditorium-series speakers (Auditorium, Avatar, and Avatar OBX) -- in particular, all have an amazingly natural tonal balance and wonderful soundstaging abilities. These are probably my favorite dynamic loudspeakers.

The Auditorium is, of course, not quite as refined as its pricier siblings. At the same time, it is also much less fussy about room placement than the Avatar or Avatar OBX.

Do note that while all three of these speakers have the same specs, the Auditorium seems to need a few more watts to really sing. Thus, while the Avatars are perfectly happy with a 15-watt SET amp, the Auditoriums are really going to want at least 25 watts.

There are several good Living Voice dealers in Canada, so you probably won't have too much trouble finding a pair of Auditoriums to audition. For the location of your closest dealer, contact Bluebird Music (www.bluebirdmusic.ca), the North American importer for Living Voice.

Cheers!
