Well moving to tubes will make the GP sound less nervous and more at ease. OTOH, it will not altogether cure its deficiencies like the slightly bright/forward lower treble and excess midbass. If anything, glary sounding tubes can worsen the treble, and plump sounding tubes can exacerbate the midbass. If I were the ones who got GP's, I'd gladly dump em for any of the classic series Sonus fabers.
