Hyperion/All: Will tubes save the SF Concerto GP's

Greetings:
Hyperion, I know your not a big fan of the older GP's. With my current system, Proceed BPA, PRE, CDP, should I just dump the GP's and start over or will moving to tube`s, either preamp or amp or both, be a better move. I guess my question is "Am I wasting my time trying to make the old GP's sing?"
