Trust me on this- you have not heard Mozart until you have filled them with sand. As the importer, it was my duty to find out how drastic the sonic improvement was, and what the sand did to the speakers sound made the unfilled speaker sound broken. Lead shot is nice, but very toxic, and it makes moving the speaker around a real bear.
