I did listen to Dynaudio Audience 42 and 52, as well as Contour 1.1 (very shortly, though). My experience with Audience was during my evaluation of SimAudio I-5. I briefly switched from CDM1SE to Audience 52 without changing anything else. The sound was smooth, slightly dark (strong bass) and very clean hights, but I noticed some lack of midrange purity. The dealer agreed with me, stating that I would need to step up to the Contour line to get it.Another room had Contour 1.1 connected to Musical Fidelity A300 and A3CD player. Since the room was very small and the speakers were about a foot from the back wall, there was some strong bass resonance that made me realize I cannot use those speakers in my room :-(. I noticed that the highs and the mids were much more refined than with the Audience line.
