Re: Hyperion HELP, blown tweeter on SF Signums

Actually I am pretty ignorant on these matters myself since I havent blown a tweeter (YET!). What I do know is that the Signum's tweeters are not off the shelf OEM units w/c you can buy from driver retailers. Therefore you may have to mail or fax Sonus faber about it, or you can inform your local Sonus faber distributor. Sometimes, they do stock replacement drivers and at the very least, they can assist you in asking for replacement drivers from Sonus faber. I've known that they ship replacement drivers for damaged ones but I dont know if they charge a fee for it. I dont think you need to replace in pairs unless Sonus faber recommends it (er they changed the specs of the tweeter somewhere along the way). But are you sure you are up to the task of changing tweeters yourself? It sounds easy but when I tried to open my Electa Amator IIs out of curiosity, I was able to remove all screws and yet I couldnt take the drivers off.
