I've got two DQ-1W speakers hanging around gathering dust. Woofs are in excellent condition. I would like to know if I were trying for more efficiency and willing to take a hump in frequency response around 55Hz or so, could I use the original setup and port them using cardboard or pvc tube. If so, how can I find out how to do this that is in some way semi scientific. I'm not making a piano here, just want a pair of woofs that I can use in a second system.I'll drive them with a Dahlquist LP1 active crossover and a pair of old Kenwood L05M mono 100 watt amps. Top end will be a pair of Sequerra Met 7 monitors.
Any insights, great or small would be appreciated. Thanks......
