I owned a pair of these in the early 70s. When they worked, they were so sumptious, so beguiling, they made you forget what it felt like the last time you saw a flash of light as a mid panel arced. And the tweeter panels occasionally failed, too. I kept spare panels under the bed, and I STILL couldn't always keep them up & running. Seems like I was often down "x dB" in one channel cuz I rarely had all the mid panels working (Infinity tried, but couldn't keep up with the demand for replacement panels).I was using an ARC D-75 on the mids, and a Marantz 8B on the tweeters. No way I would abuse them as a married vet/college student struggling for money.
Finally, I sold them, then missed them so much I bought them back! It took another three months the second time, and then they were outa there.
Don't even think about it unless you have access to parts, and you have the time and money (and having time to listen to actual music isn't so important).
