Re: Spiking a subwoofer

It helped a Velodyne FSR-12. Use Remington Power Hammer threaded studs, pn 100760. They have a 1/4"-20 threads, and 1" shanks, so you can simply install threaded inserts. Total cost <$10 for 8. (I bought a large package of these spikes and can spare some - email me.)

My current REL subs sound better without spikes, and REL recommends against their use. Of course, YMMV.
