TAS ran an article about dq10s all around (4ch) by jwc i believe with identical amps as well. i think they used the tate sq decoder. the results were exemplary as well they should have been.
there was a mod by someone using ribbon tweets that was quite good, i had a pair in the house driven by a hafler 500. VG and the bass produced by these speakers using the hafler was unprecendented in my dahlquist experiences. bass from my fried RIIs was also unprecedented! structural damage could have ocurred to my house. and neither of these speakers are known for deep bass. btw, i dont remember if the ribbon replaced the piezo or the dome tweet.
