They almost moved to my town in upstate NY, but ended up I believe in Watertown, NY which is way up just east of Lake Ontario (can you say lake effect snow). Local papers here reported that energy prices in California drove them out (although rates have since fallen back down recently)and that Pat McGinty was originally from Long Island, NY so he wanted to be closer to family on the east coast.I think it's going to take them a little while to acclimate to Watertown, coming from San Diego. We here in southern upstate tend to think of that area of NYS as siberia,lots of snow & cold! I'll bet Mr. McGinty will be dreaming sweet dreams of CA after one winter there.
