Re: Klipsch KSW-15 sub or Paradigm PW-2200 sub

The Paradigm PW-2200 is a very fine sub, and will play quite loudly down to 25 Hz, and has useful output at 20 Hz. I have no experience with the Klipsch KSW-15.

According to Widescreen Review's Subwoofer Buying Guide, it will outperform the Klipsch KSW-15 at all frequencies, especially those below 35 Hz. The PW-2200 could do 108 dB at 25 Hz and 114 dB at 30 Hz, and somewhat louder above that. In their tests, the KSW-15 put out about 100 dB at 30 Hz and 25 Hz, but will play quite loudly at 35 Hz and above, though the PW-2200 still outdoes it by a few dB. So, based on that, I would say the PW-2200 is a more capable sub, and will go rather lower. Widescreen review does not give distortion figures.
