I just plopped the XT25's into my Ariels replacing a pair of ScanSpeak D2905/9500's. No mods to the crossover (yet). I'm quite pleased with the result. Even though they're not broken in yet, they sound very good. Transparent and detailed, if maybe just a tad on the bright side. They are about 1db more efficient that the 9500's so I may need to adjust the crossover to lower the tweeter output. To get optimal performance do you think I need to make other crossover mods to adjust for the fact that the XT25 is 4.7ohms compared to the 9500's 4.0ohms? I'm pretty green about crossover design - but the Ariel site at least does explain how to modify the tweeter level.
