Kestrels image like banshees!
I'm sitting in my computer chair which is higher than the sofa I usually listen on and the image comes together.I always wondered what the trade-off was between the sloped baffle for time alignment and the tweeters firing up. You have to have your ears at 50"!
The cymbals on Pat Barbers Cafe Blue are now a part of the drum kit; not coming from each speaker. Violins and cellos on good orchestral extend from each wall to the center and the trumpets and trombones aren't sitting in the tuba player's lap.
All reservations about the Kestrel's are gone. Now all I have to do is decide between concrete blocks for the sofa or a sawzall for the speaker cabinets!
