Celestion SL 700SE experience?

Hi All,

Found a brand new unused pair of these with the original stands for $1000. Currently i am keen on standmounts and have KEF RDM2s. They have a warm, sweet sound however inconsistent performance and lack dynamics. Anyone to share experiences on SL700? BTW i've read the old thread from 1999 but i need some more input as these speakers are about to become obsolete.. Are they still of value?
