My listening room is 12'x12'. One side wall is taken up with two desk/hutch computer workstations complete with printers and stands. My system/rack is on another wall with each speaker about two and a half feet from the wall behind them. One speaker is two feet away from the side wall on one side and the other is about the same from the printer stand beside it. The speakers are about eight feet from my ears while sitting on a couch whose back is against the wall facing them. The tweeters are about six feet apart, toed in.
My present speakers are KEF 103.2 bookshelfs on stands, old, but decent. I would like the better bass response of floorstanders and think that 804s might do. Do you think they will be too much for this small room?I have a nice dealer who would loan me them if, like usual , I want to demo them in my home system. I don't want to bother him if you guys think I should stay with bookshelf size speakers.
