RE: Life after Dunlavy

Claude,

I owned Duntech Princess (older sibling to DAL SC-IV) for 19 years and sold them only because of a pending move which hasn't happened yet. Prior to those I owned Vandersteens and agree there is a similarity in sonics because Dunlavy and Vandersteen both design for time/phase coherency. So an appropriately sized/priced Vandy could be your answer.

FYI I ended up with Janszen zA2.1 (now called Valentina) and have been very pleased. Perhaps not quite as big a presentation nor as much low end weight as the Duntechs but otherwise better detail, HF extension, and image placement, all in a moderate sized package which can be placed closer to the front wall. And for a reasonable price.

Sorry, I've never heard the Golden Ear so no comment there.
