Not his deal.

I talked him out of buying a surround sound in a box and then advised him on buying a mix of new and used equipment.

Hope I didn't do bad by him.

If the sub is bad I hope the seller from Audiogon will do the right thing. I bought a couple of mono-blocks off of Audiogon a few years ago and one of them was DOA. The seller told me to take it to a repair shop and then he called and gave them his credit card number.
