They replaced two huge DIY SWs, each with four excellent 12" drivers, mounted on the front wall. Here's a composite pic of them.My F15HPs have black cones and the one-generation-old 530(?)-Watt amps. NEVER had I heard bottom-octave-and-below bass sound so good in my room. I'm thrilled with the sonic results of these.
FWIW, if you don't have a digital bass-tuning system, I recommend these inexpensive Rane three-band parametric eqs...
Each band of the three is independently and infinitely adjustable from 10Hz to 2KHz. It uses 1/4" fone plugs, so you'll need adapters; I bought mine at a local guitar center. My room is almost square at 19X21' and has a very loud room node at 28-30Hz; I use both the single-frequency eq in the SW amp and the Rane eq.
