I managed to audition them this morning and they are very nice! They sounded really good with a McIntosh solid-state integrated amp with great detail, sweet midrange, non-fatiguing highs and a deep/well-controlled bass despite their 38Hz rating.
No offense but you shouldn't judge just because they are a box design & you've never heard them.
I'm looking to hear from people who have actually heard them or better yet, own them.
