One aspect of many of the high-efficiency brands is that they're often described as having more of a 'live event' sound to them. This is something I've heard about Tekton and Zu.I've certainly heard plenty of speakers that sounded technically amazing but didn't really give me much ambiance, so I think I know what you mean.
