Quadral Loudspeakers - Revel Studio - Avantgarde Uno

I've done a search of all forums here, but precious little about Quadral speakers. They're from Germany and from a very well established manufacturer.

A couple of inmates have the big Vulcans in their systems, but both are quite old.

The latest floor standing Vulkan 9 or Montan 9 models have been suggested as alternatives to my Avantgarge Unos which clearly and sadly are not at home in my new listening room.

The AGs sounded fabulous in my London flat with a 5-sided (plus bay) room, 350 sq ft with 10 ft ceilings with plenty of nice soft Victorian plaster to help the sound. I'm now trying to find more suitable speakers for a semi-circular (more parabolic in fact) room of nearly 1000 sq ft with low 7'6 ceilings with the curved wall being floor-to-ceiling glass. The speakers are in the middle of the room so no back wall for bass support - so somewhat challenging!

I've tried changing the amplifier, hoping to find one that gives the AGs a bit of a boost, but to no great advantage. My 845 based monos were changed for Red Wine Signature 30 LFP-V and the new Benchmark AHB2 amp (both disastrous), then a lovely Accuphase A-36 class A amp and most recently a GamuT D200 Mk III. The last is the most successful but I'm still not getting the excitement I had in my London flat with primitive SET valve amps (845 or PX-25 based).

The UK Revel distributor suggests their Studio model may be good in my room, so I'm looking for opinions from anyone with experience (preferably of both Revel and Quadral) to help me with my dilemma. Please take into consideration my room problems as without them I'd not consider changing my AGs for anything!
