I see that DAC is about $5k. As mentioned below I don't think you have a speaker problem.

If your system is on that "cash level" then you should try another DAC. Try the Marantz NA7004 or it's newer version at Crutchfield. They have a 30 return policy if it doesn't work out. I've been using mine for several years and always found it to be well balanced.

Heck, for $700 you're going to spend more than that switching cables!!!
