If you insist:Obviously bottom end extension is lacking.
Maximum SPL is limited
Overall low level detail can be better
Gets worse with high levels
Sound overall is not that transparent
It lacks initial attack
Gets somewhat lifeless at low levels
Lacking you are there effect and effortlessnessI could continue in more detail in comparison to other commercial speakers, but you can listen some in the same ballpark retail price range that do one or few things better than SR71s:
-ET LFT-VIII
-Sonist Recital 3
-Vandersteen 2Ce Signature II
-Martin Logan Electromotion ELS
-Magnepan 1.7i
-Klipsch Heresy
-Monitor Audio Silver 8 or 10
-Dynaudio Excite X34
In the 5k+ range that do most if not everything of the noted better:
-Sound Lab M-3PX
-Magnepan 3.7i
-Model 3A Signature or Treo
-Thiel 2.7
-Martin Logan Ethos or MontisNote that these are just some of many and I did not even go in to the more exotic designs
