Thanks manerac. The "ESS" replacement is something I may do. But, I have not had a great experience in going with ESS replacement parts in the past as the ESS company has changed hands many times since originally creating the ESS AMT. Was the current "ESS" replacement woofer really selected with the great care that would have made Oskar Heil proud? That aside, the ESS AMT1 was a very good but not perfect speaker (to my ears) when first made. In short, the original woofer failed to reproduce the lowest bass that my Paradigm subwoofer will now handle and it could not respond as fast as the amazing Heil AMT tweeter. And, the original woofer could not reproduce the vocals to my 100% satisfaction regardless of the brightness setting used on the crossover. Thus, my quest to see if I can find any better replacement driver.
I'm not sure if my Heil tweeter crossover frequency is 1200 to 1500Hz. This is my model of the ESS AMT1
