I've got all the time in the world on my hands; I'm retired. ;-)
Based on your original post, I thought you might have had some other reason for wanting a sealed subwoofer besides simply not wanting the port to be visible. For example, I need sealed subwoofers in my system to prevent woofer pumping when playing records. All the ported speakers I've tried seem to respond to the arm/cartridge resonance frequency with visible woofer pumping. Sealed enclosures eliminate woofer pumping entirely. That's why I bought Rythmik subwoofers with sealed enclosures. Rythmik also makes ported enclosures but I can't use them in my system. Presently I'm using Cambridge Soundworks acoustic suspension 12" powered subs.
Of course, if you play records, you can always use a subsonic filter to prevent your subwoofer from pumping. Some phono stages incorporate subsonic filters, but none of mine have them. Therefore, I find it more convenient to use subwoofers with sealed enclosures.
Good luck,
John Elison
