RE: Lpad or autoformer

Thanks for the reply. I posted earlier today that that is exactly what I've decided to do.

I mentioned that all components are in a 2nd floor closet and the OPPO and other three source components will continue to be connected to the AI preamp, which is connected to an amp in the same closet.

In the post I also mentioned the amp is connected to speakers on the 2nd and 1st floor. For convenience, when listening to the 1st floor speakers, I'll use the OPPO remote volume control. The AI preamp doesn't have remote control.
