LS3/5As are also costly in mint condition. the AR3 and its derivatives were one of THE speakers to have and one of, if not THE first to produce deep bass from such a small enclosure.
the LS3/5As were a leap as well in soundstaging and imaging plus seeming neutrality. i wish i had never let mine get away. i could almost see me buying another pair.
