RE: Spendor: why "seamless"

Seamless is exactly how I would describe the sound of my Spendor BC-1 speakers, which I lived with for a number of years. I attribute this seamlessness these factors in its design. The drivers are very high quality and the crossovers keep them in frequencies where there behavior is pistonic. The crossover frequency is at a relatively unobtrusive frequency response (3kHz and 13kHz), and are very well designed. The lossy, bituminous damped thin-walled cabinets have very little stored energy. Since this is the only model Spendor that I have listened to at length, so I can't comment on other models.
