I agree with Awe-d. I've never seen the word "seamless" used in reference to off-axis dispersion. Having owned several Spendors in the past, they are very good in terms of driver integration.Some speakers are noticeably deficient in this area. For example, in listening to Martin Logans several years ago, the bass unit had a noticeably different sound quality than the electrostatic panels that was quite apparent to me as an instrument like a cello or piano worked up from their lower range to the mids. One could often hear the same in the midrange of other speakers if the crossover point was in the 1,500 to 2,000 Hz range between the mid & tweeter.
But, different things bother different people. Lots of people like Martin Logan speakers (and things may be better with recent models, can't say I've heard a ML speaker in the past 5 years), so one always needs to go with what works for them.
