I owned a pair of Newform Research r8-2's from August of 93 to May of 2014. I replaced them with Cambridge Audio Aero 6's. The Newforms are good[don't get me wrong] but two of my audio buddies were here when we compared the two speakers and all three of us loved the BMR drivers in the Cambridge. I bought the Aeros and sold the Newforms. And if I had a waited I could have got the Aeromax 6's which are even better. But I do use the IsoAcoustics speaker stand [which simply transform the speakers to another level.] YMMV as everyone has their own favourite "sound".
