Question about EV SP 15

Several years ago, I bought a beautiful EV SP 15, serial 4192. it's got a chrome basket and light brown round tub-type magnet structure.
This is an older one, with the wizzer cone and "EV" on a chrome cap in the middle. The surround, which is corrugated cone material, is damaged, mostly split.
Is it repairable? I know I can get it re-coned, but the re-cone will not be the same.
