Was ALMOST gonna suggest something like the Klipsch KG 5.5 that my ex used to own. I did a LOT of work (sealing cabinets, putting rope caulk on the horns, finding a Conrad Johnson PV5) to make them a good compromise between her tastes & mine. In the end, she was swayed towards MY tastes when we paired some B&W Nautilus 805s and a nice Von Schweikert sub.
At a reasonable level? The Klipsch Forte is pretty darn awesome - I'd say older is better, if found in good condition.
