RE: Best floor standing speakers for $400-$500?

I agree with 6bq5 that the JBL's are likely better than what you can get for $500.00 UNLESS you are buying used. Chances are the JBL woofers only need new foam surrounds. That is a cheap and easy fix.
It would be hard to beat the JBL's for rock and blues...
