If you have a small room you might consider a used pair of Devore 8s or Super 8s. They are in the price range. These are great speakers with a "draw you in" flavor. Also, they are efficient and do not require huge watts to sound great. I had a pair of Triton 7s that I loved, but they were too much for my near field room. The ribbon tweeter was too over powering. They sounded sublime in the dealers larger room however. If I get a bigger room in our newer house, I will consider them or the 5s again.
