One thing you do better than many professional reviewers is something Auden considered essential to a critic: you make clear what your idea of Heaven or Eden is before making your pronouncements. It took the estimable Bob Harley years to learn to do that. In this highly subjective field, opinions are useless unless we know where they're coming from. You also write well.
