Apply some painter's tape along the side where the back and sides meet. Use yellow carpenter's glue and work it under the veneer with a thin blade screw driver. Use a piece of 3/4" plywood as long as necessary to cover the length of the repair and about 6 or 8" wide as a caul. Let it overhang the edge a half inch or so. You can either clamp along the edge or if you have heavy weights, place on top of the plywood caul and allow to dry for a couple of hours. Wipe any squeeze out of glue with a damp rag.
