I'm always on the lookout at the thrifts for anything that's a cut above. That's sometimes fun and sometimes a money pit. The money pits are usually sold off at no profit or a small loss.

Many times it's just the satisfaction of saving a nice component from the dump that gets me going. Many BPC turntables have gone on to have second (or third...or fifth) chances at the home of a budding audiophile.

I recently sold a Denon DP-7F to a guy that was just so happy to have it! All it needed was a little cleaning and lube and it was good as new. One less for the trash heap.
