Sub drivers are usually very closely matched to their cabinet and (especially) their electronics. For any sub worth mentioning, that would be VERY closely matched. I'd be surprised if you couldn't get just as good a sub as what you have for the price of the replacement driver, a driver that will last for more than a few hours. Just being honest.
I am sure your local e.g. SVS dealer (there are some in Canada) or used from "the mart" (people regularly upgrade subs it seems, once they get a taste...) has something where your $$ would be better spent. OTOH if you just want to throw a speaker that fits into the box...
