I haven't heard the Elac but thought the bass had to extend further than the RB61. But after reading your post completely I'd use the RB61 without hesitation, simply because the sound would match the Klipsch you already have. Same as in home theater, when mixing a lot of speakers that will play at the same time the closer the timbre matches the better the sound will blend or seem more seamless. Also, you'd probably have to drive the Elac pretty hard for them to even be heard. The Klipsch are high efficient which means it doesn't take much power to make them loud.
