Jack i heard the Carver AL-111 speakers at the 1996 Stereophile show in NY.
The system was the Carver Lightstar Reference amp. Carver Lightstar passive preamp.
Wadia 16 CD player.
This was one of the best sounding systems i heard at the show.
The soundstage was gigantic and really impressive. The bass was fast and tight.
That Carver Lighstar Reference amp was amazing. It sounded like a top of the line tube amp.
