I don't know for sure if it was earlier than you, but both my father and myself owned Dali's in the mid-eighties. They were floor standers with two 8" (I believe) and a 1' dome tweeter (we both bought the same model). I moved to Vandersteen 1's in the mid-90's.
My mother had the Dali's until she moved from Baltimore to Seattle at the age of 82 in 2006. When she moved, she gave the Dali's to her handyman, along with a vintage H/K receiver, a Teac cassette, and mid-90's CD player.
