I've had my ProAc Response D30R floorstanding speakers for roughly a year now and love it!

The speaker provides excellent detail and deep well-controlled bass. It's a real nice match for my Devialet 200 integrated amp!

The guys at ProAc have done an excellent job by well integrating the ribbon tweeter in their design.

Also, I really like the idea of a bottom firing port since this setup remains consistent in any setup as opposed to rear-firing ports.

Before purchasing the D30R, I had auditioned the D40R but it proved to be too big for my listening room (12' x 14').

I have no experience with the newer ProAc D48R and the Spendor Statement. However, looking at the specs of the Statement, it doesn't seem to go very deep (47Hz).
