Speaking of balance controls I have a problem in that it always seems to me that my stereo shifts images over to the right. I checked the relative output of the two speakers with an SPL meter at the sweet spot playing one channel at a time with pink noise as the source and found that the left channel actually was 1 dB louder than the right, the opposite of what I expected.
My best current theory is that because my hearing is better in my right ear than in my left (Yes, I am a geezer.) this might be the cause of the image shift to the right. If anyone has any thoughts or facts about this I am very interested.
