I currently have a pair of B&W Matrix 801 Series II loudspeakers. As I understand it, one of the differences between the Series II and Series III of this model is that the Series III speakers had a ferrofluid cooled tweeter. In addition, the crossover network was changed by being made simpler.
I wonder if ferrofluid dries up over time in drivers that use it, and if it does, whether it can be replaced? If so, how would one go about having this done?
Many thanks,
George
