Try posting over at the Planar Forum for more ideas. The SMGs are pretty old and it is likely that you have corrosion of wires from the humidity and salt resulting in microbreaks. Probably the tweeter driver is as the wires are thinner but the mid-bass can do the same thing. Good news is that the wires can be repaired as a DIY. Contact Magnepan and they will sell you a repair kit.
