RE: There's a new Aerial Acoustics coming

I owned a pair of rosewood 10T's for years.

Loved their design with just the right amount of heft with the Sound Anchor stands.

So-so mids and highs, but when dialed in correctly to a room, the bass was simply phenomenal. The tightest, deepest, most well-defined, musical bass I've ever encountered. Just phenomenal in the bass dept.

In two separate homes / rooms no less. Bearing in mind, it took me 9 months in the second room of careful placement before achieving bass similar to the first room. Not quite on par with the first room, but oh so close.

I remember a bass player was listening to my system and he saw that I had an 18-inch subwoofer next to one of the 10T's and he said the subwoofer sounded fabulous.

When I went over and showed him that the sub's plug was not plugged into the wall (I hadn't used or needed the sub for months), he couldn't believe it.

If I thought for a second I could properly upgrade the mid-range and tweeters to something like ScanSpeak's higher-end drivers and was confident in what I was doing (mating the drivers), I'd give the 10T's another shot in a heartbeat.

Even today with a far superior music presentation including full-range VPMS RM40 speakers and a recently acquired musical 15" subwoofer, I still cannot match the depth and consistently overall bass musicality of the 10T's properly dialed in.

And again, their design/style was frickin' cool.
