Commercial prices have gone haywire, and have been that way for years now. DIY is the only way to get decent HiFi at affordable prices. This is why the hobby of HiFi is dying. Greedy manufacturers have priced out the new poeple coming into the market, so they just buy earbuds and listen to MP3's on their phones.
