Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

My conclusion is the opposite

I could be WAY wrong, because I have NOT at length auditioned any of these modern loudspeakers. BUT, it got me thinking that when I listen to paper cone loudspeakers, what I hear is a large PAPER component, and it is just that I am USED to that, so don't notice it as much!

So, if that's the case, a good loudspeaker design under good conditions should try to minimize ALL these colorations and, maybe, we get use to the, hopefully, minimized colorations.
